Be The Field

Many of us dont think of others. All the decisions we take are driven by a motive that will ultimately contribute to the uplifment of our life. Dont know why people always do that. But for taking such an important decision we contact all the persons as far and wide we know and also consult experts about that plan of ours being useful and achieveable. But lives of persons who changed the world never seem to have such instances in which they take decicions for themselves.

The man who showed that with non-violence as tool we can move mountains, was thrown out of a train in south Africa on grounds that he is a black. He took a decision that i will not let this incident happen in my country and lead the most successful freedom struggle of all times in the history of the world. His name is M.K.Gandhi. He was a barrister by profession and that profession was highly respected at that time. He could have remained in his profession and probably could’ve become a judge or attorney general, but he didn’t. All he did was that he made a decision not for him but for others, for the sake of his countrymen. Today every Indian face is Gandhi and where non-violence prevails Gandhi prevails and in place of violence he laughs in currency notes.
Then we have the eternal comedian. He probably would have joked even with the mercenaries of death lord who came to take his soul. He lived in Germany and it was the time Nazis were dominating the world. People were afraid to even utter the name of Hitler. He was a dictator of such colossal character. But this comedian happily joked about him on stage plays . Personally he had a tough life. Poor family, failed relationship, betraying friends. In all these circumstances he laughed at his problems. In 1 of his interviews he said “i had a lot of tears in my life, i vowed to bring that tears in all my countrymen eyes, and hence i became a comedian”. His name was Charlie Chaplin. He bought laughter to the same society which didn’t spare him even a day of meal. Such was his conviction.
Gandhi and Charlie Chaplin were no more two unique men. They are now synonymous with non-violence and comedy. By choosing to serve people they don’t become great in their respective fields, they become The Field. If you are a follower of non-violence ,you are by default a follower of Gandhi. If you love comedy , you love Charlie Chaplin without a doubt.
DON’T BE THE BEST IN YOUR FIELD, BE THE FIELD.
